For Writers
Before I sold Whiskey Sour I'd amassed more than 500 rejections searching for agents and publishers.
Since selling Whiskey Sour, I've visited more than 2,200 bookstores, traveled to 39 states, attended over a hundred conventions, conferences, and book fairs, and get paid pretty good money to lecture about writing and publishing.
It's been quite a trip. And I wish I knew then what I know now.
In 2005 I began a blog called A Newbie's Guide to Publishing, to share what I've learned.
If you're a new writer looking to find an agent or sell your stories, or if you're a pro looking to expand your readership, the blog is chocked full of information about writing, publishing, and marketing.
I've put together the best of these tips in an e-book. It's about 250,000 words worth of tips, hints, tricks, and advice. Over 750 pages long. And it's free. My old tips pages on my previous website still exist at http://www.jakonrath.com/tips.html if you're nostalgic and want to see them, but they've all been incorporated into this e-book download.
If you have any questions that aren't answered in this book, visit my blog at http://jakonrath.blogspot.com, or visit my message board at http://www.jakonrath.com/phpBB3 and ask me personally. Time permitting, I'm happy to help.
For a limited time, this ebook downlad also contains excerpts from the writing manuals Muse by Dr. Stacia D. Kelly and The Step By Step Guide of Publishing for Profit by Christy Pinheiro and Nick Russell.
